Philosophy Annual Prizes

Shishir Budha ’20

The Philosophy Department is pleased to announce Shishir Budha ’20 as the winner of the 2020 W. Preston Warren Prize. The prize was endowed by friends in honor of Professor Warren, for 26 years a distinguished professor of philosophy at Bucknell, is awarded to that senior majoring in Philosophy who shows the greatest achievement and promise in philosophy. Congratulations Shishir!

The Department also awarded the Agnes Archer Warren prize to Lauren Ziolkowski for her honors thesis in English Literature entitled “From Libertine to Incel”. The prize was established in honor of the wife of Dr. W. Preston Warren and is annually given to a student in the College of Arts and Sciences for a written work demonstrating well-informed use of a range of sources in several disciplines.
